$100 – Training manuals for four new CASA volunteers 

  • New CASA volunteers are required to undergo 30 hours of curriculum in class training, plus 10 additional hours of courtroom observation.

    • We have 2 training classes every year.  Each has a beginning average of 6 – 12 volunteers

$250 – Scholarships for CASA volunteers and staff to attend professional child welfare training's. 

  • CASA volunteers and staff are required to take 12 hours of additional continuing education hours per year to meet National CASA Association guidelines and requirements.

$1,500 – Child advocacy cost per year per child  

  • Average length child is in care is two years

  • Polk County has roughly 150 cases on any given day.  Currently, we advocate for approximately 86% of these case​​
