$100 – Training manuals for four new CASA volunteers
New CASA volunteers are required to undergo 30 hours of curriculum in class training, plus 10 additional hours of courtroom observation.
We have 2 training classes every year. Each has a beginning average of 6 – 12 volunteers
$250 – Scholarships for CASA volunteers and staff to attend professional child welfare training's.
CASA volunteers and staff are required to take 12 hours of additional continuing education hours per year to meet National CASA Association guidelines and requirements.
$1,500 – Child advocacy cost per year per child
Average length child is in care is two years
Polk County has roughly 150 cases on any given day. Currently, we advocate for approximately 86% of these case
